TWO SOPHOMORES NAMED 1st TEAM ALL CONFERENCE

The Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) announced their All-Conference team on May 9th, 2012. The Foresters saw two of their players named to the first team all-conference team. Sophomore Amelia Lawrence, a team captain in 2012, was a repeat member of the 1st team all conference team. This marked the first repeat all-conference performer in school history. Lawrence, a native of Oldwick, NJ, was third in the WCLL in Assists with 16, and tallied 20 goals on the season. She also lead the WCLL conference in caused turnovers with 35, and was second in the conference in Groundballs per game (3.7). Sophomore Barbara "Babs" Wye, was the second Forester named to the first team all-conference list. Babs started every game in goal for the Foresters and tallied a save percentage of 61%good for fourth in the conference. Her 137 saves were second in the conference, and her 8.61 Goals against average was good for second place among goalies who played over 600 minutes (10 games) of playing time. The WCLL consists of two divisions, Lake Forest is one of 31 teams in Division II. The Lake Forest College team finished the season 11-2, and were crowned the Northwest Division Champions. The Foresters season ended in the semi-finals of the conference tournament at Ohio State to eventual conference champion Oakland University (MI).
